From Dor. Finally a self help book that cuts through the crap and gets to the point. The way in which it is written makes for easy reading and in one way or another we have all been through the same things.Over the years I have picked up books on self help and just glancing through them I have put them back down, not with this book,I sat and read the whole thing in one night. The authur is honest and forthright,he made me stop and think about my own comeback, after this I know I can do it.
From Jiang Jei. I really enjoyed reading The Comeback book which for me works both as a good series of stories about the author's life as well as giving some good practical advice about how to deal with situations when things aren't the way that you would want them to be. It is the ideal read for some one that is at a cross roads in their life and wants to find a practical way to cope with some of the more extreme events but I also think it's good for those of us that just want to fix one of the things that we've been meaning to for some time. Thanks so much for the author to share his life, very touching!
From Jeff Amos. I have read many self help books but The Comeback is more like a Biography mixed with action and adventure of the authors life that after reading you get left with a lot of pretty simple advice that you can use yourself. The way it’s written you can feel it’s a normal guy that had to face problems many of us face and we are always looking for books or videos for guidance, this book gives that guidance from a guy who faced up and fixed it, the chats about the lies and truth really hit me where I needed it. His accounts of his mother’s death, separation from his children and family for such a long time is sad at times but well worth reading. The book has its Funny moments but most importantly you get something out of it or as I feel use it as a reference in the future. It would make a good movie, I liked it.
From Helsbels. This is a most engaging book. As you get taken on a journey with the author through the inspiration for his own Comebacks, you invariably draw comparisons with aspects of your own life. This is a book that has something for everyone. The author Shane Hodge writes in a raw manner that is confronting as well as engaging. His brutally honest assessment of his own journey is nothing short of courageous. This book touched me in many ways and challenged me to look at aspects of my life through different eyes and to rise to the challenge of creating a Comeback in a number of aspects of my life. It's well worth the read, something in it for everyone.
From Chen Yu.I bought this eBook two days ago as I thought the cover was interesting and I liked the statement about the things that matter. After reading the book I am so happy, Shane writes in such a simple way that I can use his points to really help me Comeback in some personal relationships that have really troubled me. His chats seem so real that I thought he was actually talking to me and I like that style of writing. In the book he is open and honest about where he went wrong and he offers really simple stuff on how he Cameback and rebuilt his life after being away from his country so long. I like it and recommend it to people if they are looking for simple everyday answers to problems and making the things that matter better. A good book that you can refer back to.
From Emma. After watching The Comeback Videos on YouTube I decided to buy the Book and I'm glad I did. I really like the simple way the author writes, I was very touched by the early parts of the book where he chats about his Mother's death and the impact on his life, but then he took a long look at himself and the mistakes he had made and took action to make changes. It is these changes that he shares with you in the chapters of the book or as he calls them Chats. The "Chats" Shane shares are simple but effective ways to improve those relationships around us which we tend to struggle with mainly family and close friends. I believe his methods to be effective and with his down to earth style I also believe I can make use of them. A good entertaining read, well done.
From Sarah. I finished reading The Comeback a few days ago and I thought now was a good time to send my thoughts. I have read many books on lessons that should improve my life, but this Book was a little different as it was written by a Guy that was not embarrassed to say how many mistakes he had made in his life and then bare his soul on how he made his Comeback, and then offer that advice to me in simple easy chats. I know that I can use his chats to now go and make my own Comeback. His writing is entertaining; his life has been incredible and adventurous. I Liked the Comeback; I hope Shane writes another one soon.
